Cancun-Chichen-Cycling – June 15, 2013 – Featured at LetsGoPDC
Here’s a challenge for you long distance cylists! A 212km (almost 132 miles) cycling trip from Cancun to Chichen Itza. You can also sign up for shorter rides of 100km (62 miles) or 60km (37 miles); you won’t get to see Chichen Itza at the end, but all participants’ entrance fees will help support the Mexican Tuberous Sclerosis (TSC) Association.
To do the ride, you must have a road or triathlon bicycle, helmet and gloves, two spare tubes, and respect the maximum speed set by the guide (35 km/hr).

We ate at Alla Griglia last weekend and it was a wonderful experience, They make their own PASTRAMI, pork and turkey. They will be known in Playa for their amazing sandwiches. The bread is amazing! Homemade and great to dip in oil or their olive spread. They have a fantastic cheese try with all sorts of different cheeses including a blueberry goat cheese. I ordered the special of the night, which was a tender, flavorful, filet mignon. It was cooked perfectly. My husband has the pastrami and it was amazing too. A huge sandwich which was a full meal. Our friends enjoyed a 2×1 wine special for a little over 40 pesos per glass – quite a bargain. The chef is American and his wife is Mexican. They make a winning combination and made us feel very welcome. This is a hidden gem in Playa and hope that the locals will give it a try. He just opened a few months ago in Plaza San Pedro, on 5th between 34th and 38th. You can also buy the lunch meats by the kilo to go.
